Francesco Zanot

Course Leader, Master in Photography and Visual Design

A photography critic and curator, Francesco Zanot has curated exhibitions and written catalog renowned Italian and international photographers such as Alec Soth (Triennale di Milano), Olivo Barbieri (Palazzo Ducale, Genova), and Takashi Homma (21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa, Japan).

Zanot serves as a consultant for Contrasto Books, a publisher of art books, focusing on their exhibition activities. He is also a contributing editor at Fantom Photographic Quarterly.

Besides serving as course leader for NABA’s Master in Photography and Visual Design, he is responsible for  Fondazione FORMA per la Fotografia’s academic activities and teaches a History of Photography course at IULM University in Milan. Zanot has participated in conferences and seminars on the theory and history of photography at Columbia University in New York, the American Academy in Rome, and Università degli Studi in Milan.
